Will YOU Stand Up for Food Freedom and coordinate

a Red Tape Cutting event in your area?

Here’s what we’re asking you to do:

____ Determine date, location and time of Red Tape Cutting

Suggested locations: farmers markets, county fairs, parking lot of friendly businesses or other local events

____ Invite special guests – supportive legislators, city council members, county commissioners

____ Determine who will speak – 2-5 minutes of speaking time is plenty.

ND Food Freedom will provide a basic presentation for you.

____ Solicit celebratory food – especially those items previously banned or sometimes banned.

____ Have red tape and scissors available

____ Invite local press. ND Food Freedom will help you.

If your answer is YES! please contact LeAnn Harner, Administrator, ND Food Freedom, saying you’ll help coordinate a Red Tape Cutting in your area.

Check out the videos of Red Tape Cuttings on our Facebook page.

Thanks for helping us promote Food Freedom!

What's a Red Tape Cutting Event?

Think of this….20, 50, 100 feet of red tape unrolled with people along the length; each holding scissors. The leader says a few words – very few – and gives the signal. Everyone cuts their section of red tape – the symbolic breaking of the bonds which deter citizens from buying and selling delicious, homemade products.

Your local event can be as elaborate or as simple as you like. You can bring out American flags and wave to music. You can toast with tiny glasses of farm fresh milk. You can pass out samples of some of those previously “forbidden” foods. Invite local legislators who supported this important movement.
